Love was certainly in the air today! The children in the senior room wrote haikus and designed cards with love in any language as the theme. The junior room used clay to make some beautiful candle holders
The senior room are continuing in their mission to learn as much as they can about other countries. Here are a sample of the excellent projects which they produced and presented this week.
The school were delighted this week to be chosen to receive An Bosca Leabharlainne, a box of original Irish language books specially chosen by Laureat na nÓg, Áine Ní Ghlinn. An Bosca Leabharlainne is supported by Foras na Gaeilge and the Arts Council of Ireland and focusses on encouraging children to read as Gaeilge for pleasure. The books are beautifully written and illustrated and cater for a range of ages. We look forward to digging into some good books.

The 6th Class were lucky enough to be asked to be part of this beautiful video produced by Clare County Council to promote the Burren & Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark. The link to the video is below
Happy St Brigid’s Day from the children of Fanore NS
After weeks of hard work, St Brigid’s Cloak is complete. Well done to all the children on a beautiful piece of art. It might not be perfect but none of us are 💕
This week, in honour of Grandparents Day, we have been celebrating all that is wonderful about our Grannies and Grandads and Nanas and Papas…..whatever they may be called, there is nothing quite like the love that they give us. The children in both rooms conducted interviews and learned about what it was like for their grandparents growing up, what they ate, what they liked about school, what games they liked to play and presented their projects to their classes. Well done everyone on some excellent projects!
The junior room have been working very hard this week at their maths stations
The children also began procedural writing this week by learning how to make a jam sandwich. Naturally there was some taste-testing involved as well….yum yum😋
The Junior room have been learning all about friction this week
The children have been working hard with Ms Coyle this month preparing a big crafts project. Watch this space…….
