Our writing genre this term was ‘Explanation Writing’ and, to celebrate all our learning, children in the Junior Room chose a topic to research and create an explanation project on for an in class competition. Today we were treated to the presentation of projects on the life cycles of plants and animals, why do we have day and night, how rainbows are formed, why cats purr, how airplanes fly and how volcanos erupt – complete with a volcano explosion! Such excellent work by the junior room children – it was very hard to choose just two winners!
