We would like to wish all our pupils and their families a very safe and happy summer!
Enjoy the holidays and the sunshine!!
Today we said goodbye to our 6th class, the friendliest, kindest, most intelligent and energetic group you could ever meet! We wish them all the best in secondary school and they will be greatly missed by all here in Fanore. As they said themselves in their graduation speech- ‘school will never be the same without them!’ Some pictures and videos from their graduation mass and last days of school.

The sun was out once again for our annual Sports Day! The children were in teams and participated in many different activities. Tug of war was the highlight of the day with Teachers Vs 6th Class and Girls Vs Boys! Many thanks to Pat for supplying chips and all those who brought baked goods for after. It was great so see so many past pupils and parents come to enjoy the day.
As part of history and procedural writing in English, the senior room interviewed their grandparents/older family members about games they played growing up, wrote the instructions, and the class enjoyed playing the games with each other!
The senior room had an action packed day for their school tour. First starting in Killaloe at the West Lake Aqua Park, onto Limerick for some arcade games and bowling at FunWorld, and finishing with a tasty meal at the Hungry Lyons!
This year’s Teddy Bear’s Picnic was a great hit among all the children to mark the end of 1st class’s Time to Talk programme with Ms. Coyle. Many thanks to Jay and Mary- Gordon for organising a surprise a ice cream van for the kids!
6th class really enjoyed taking part in the Get Up Stand Up Transition to Secondary Programme as part of their circle time with Ms.Coyle where they looked at many different aspects of secondary school life.
Happy Father’s Day to the hard working dads in our school community!
Many thanks to Gordon D’Arcy for facilitating a fantastic field trip along the beach and dunes of our Fanore Beach. The children really enjoyed it and learned so much about their local area. This was funded by the Heritage Keeper’s Programme.
The children explored water safety and how to keep our beach clean today.
