This will be our 10th year participating in the Christmas Shoebox Appeal.
Maddie our local co-ordinator came in to visit us on Monday.
She explained to all our new children about the project.
Boxes will be collected on Nov 11th.
Each family can make up a box if they so wish.
For Art this week, we made our very own bats and Frankensteins!

To celebrate the location of the beautiful Burren:
Today, the children from 2nd-5th class got the opportunity to listen to the well known storyteller Niall De Burca in Glor.
He is one of Ireland’s finest traditional storytellers.
What a great experience!
One of our pupils, Bob Casey was fortunate to meet the heroes over the weekend!
He even got to hold the treasured Liam McCarthy Cup!

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to the Clare Team on winning the
All Ireland Hurling Final 2013!!!
After picking our blackberries, we washed them making sure we had just ripe berries for our Berry Smoothie!
To make our smoothies, we used our fresh blackberries, apples, bananas, ice-cream and some juice.
They turned out “berry” nice!!
Today, we went outside to pick the ripe blackberries off the brambles. There were lots of berries to be picked!
Today we planted our Daffodil bulbs.
We hope to see them flower in the Spring!
