Christmas Shoebox Appeal

This will be our 10th year participating in the Christmas Shoebox Appeal.
Maddie our local co-ordinator came in to visit us on Monday.
She explained to all our new children about the project.
Boxes will be collected on Nov 11th.
Each family can make up a box if they so wish.

To celebrate the location of the beautiful Burren:
- the Gentian represents the Flora of the Burren,
- the Pine Marten is symbolic of the Fauna of the Burren,
- the hurley & sliotar express our pride and passion for our oldest indigenous game.
Storytelling with Niall De Burca

Today, the children from 2nd-5th class got the opportunity to listen to the well known storyteller Niall De Burca in Glor.
He is one of Ireland’s finest traditional storytellers.

After picking our blackberries, we washed them making sure we had just ripe berries for our Berry Smoothie!
To make our smoothies, we used our fresh blackberries, apples, bananas, ice-cream and some juice.
They turned out “berry” nice!!
