On Wednesday 7th May, we had Brigid Barry visit our school. Brigid is a member of Burren Beo Trust based in Kinvara.
Brigid has a wealth of knowledge about biodiversity and loves to get the children interacting with their environment so that they can experience its richness first hand.
Yesterday, Brigid taught the children all about the Burren; its Flora , Fauna & some folklore which intrigued the children!
The children engaged in interactive games and construction work making their very own Poulnabrones!
We look forward to having Brigid work with us again.
We are continuing to have hurling lessons with Peter Casey.
We are learning a wide variety of skills and techniques!
Today we commenced our 3rd Term.
Welcome back to all our children and we hope that your Easter was a very happy one!
We would like to wish all our families and members of the community a very Happy Easter!
Today, we had great excitement in Fanore National School as Davy Fitzgerald arrived with the famous cup. Each child got to hold the cup and get their photos taken. We also welcomed members of the community into the school to meet with Davy. Davy was accompanied by Michael Collins and Denis Cullinan whom he thanked for their help over the past number of months.
Well done to all our children who participated in this years parade.
Many thanks to all our parents who helped out and a special thanks to Peter Casey for coordinating the activity.
